Based in Edina, Minnesota, The Law Office of D. Clay Taylor represents individuals and businesses statewide and nationwide. A Life In The Law
Practicing law since 1989, our founder, attorney D. Clay Taylor, is a big firm refugee who started his own solo practice over 20 years ago. He is rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers (1999-2006). He was admitted to practice in all state and federal courts of Minnesota, as well as many U.S. District Court jurisdictions across the country and the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He served many years on the Minnesota State Bar’s Civil Litigation Governing Council. In 2010-11, he was appointed to a task force of the Minnesota State Supreme Court that implemented the very successful Expedited Litigation Track for civil suits under $100,000.
Education and mentoring are a common thread in his career. He has taught trial advocacy since 2008 at Mitchell Hamline School of Law (formerly William Mitchell) and presented many seminars through NITA (National Institute for Trial Advocacy). He has also delivered countless presentations to sales rep groups on their legal rights and remedies.
